​Chuck Lynch, Vice President of Technical Services, has over 25 years of experience in our industry and leads the tech team by developing new technical programs and services for our active members, along with enhancing our custom training programs, international development, and more.

STEVE FOX

Steve Fox has over 20 years experience in the engine building industry with eight of those years spent working in the machine shop. Steve is an ASE-certified Master Machinist, as well as a longtime member of the drag racing circuit. Steve is also the Vice President of Operations at AERA headquarters and a Technical Editor of Engine Professional magazine.

ROB MUNRO

Rob Munro has over 35 years of industry experience and is a former machine shop owner. He completed two formal apprenticeships in both Automotive Machining and Automotive Service Technician, as well as a certification in alternate fuel vehicle conversion. In 2000, Rob’s shop won the prestigious “Machine Shop of the Year Award”. Rob began serving AERA as a board member in 2001, was board chairman in 2007, and continued serving as an advisor into 2014. Rob is also is AERA’s Membership and Technical Development Manager.

Brian Roberts comes to us with over 20 years of experience in the automotive aftermarket. His work experience includes time at Federal-Mogul (Fel-Pro), Modern Silicone Technologies and Dana Corporation as a Product Engineer and Product Manager before coming to AERA. He has a wealth of information in the gasket development, production and distribution business. His background in the engine sealing process and solving problem applications will be of great value to our AERA membership.

Meet AERA’s Spanish-speaking tech specialist, Francisco Aristizabal. Communicating to the Spanish-speaking market in Spanish is very important to our association and the engine rebuilding world. Francisco brings years of experience to our team, especially in the heavy-duty arena.

ANDY KENNEDY

​Meet AERA’s newest tech specialist, Andy Kennedy. Andy has over 35 years of engine machine shop experience, primarily in the heavy-duty, agricultural/ industrial sector, but he also has gas engine experience as well. Andy was a late model dirt racer in Missouri for 18 years. That desire spilled over into building performance and race engines, which is quite fitting considering Andy lives near the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri.
